Wondering how to get your story published? Or want to know where to get started with your writing? In this how-to-get-it-done session, four of our very own neighborhood authors will tell us how they did it—and how you can get published, too.

East Boston native Lisa Capogreco-Cappuccio’s first children’s book, Where’s Marianna, brings us inside an Italian immigrant home. Holistic practitioner Maria Cargill turned her hands-on knowledge to the page in her many popular books, including Well Women: Healing the Female Body Through Traditional Chinese Medicine. James DeMarco has combined his two great loves, hockey and cartooning, in his exciting book series, Small Saves. Emem Uko turned from blog writing to novels and has now published two books, including Notice Me, a “suspense-filled journey” behind the scenes of a popular boy band. The session will be led by international teacher Leslie-Ann Murray, who has moderated writing panels all over the world and as far away as China!
